6 TIPS FOR A SAFE HALLOWEEN HOOPLA

It’s here! Happy Halloween, Friends! We’re all geared up and ready for a fun night of trick or treating – well mostly. My son’s costume is scheduled to be delivered by the end of the day today. #MomFail Yes, I have an inexpensive backup costume planned, but golly, I sure would hate to make Sub-Zero upset. (Hurry up, FedEx.)

Our neighborhood was made for nights such as this. Most days, we complain about the proximity of our neighbors. Nothing personal, it’s just we would prefer a little more space. But come Halloween Night, having the homes pretty much stacked right on top of each other means lots of trick-or-treating in a very short amount of time. Last year, the kids brought home three pounds of candy each, and we only went door-to-door for less than one hour. Jackpot!

But in order to pull off a successful Halloween Night, you have to keep your Little Creepers safe. Look no further than the Netflix Original Series, Skylanders Academy to help you out. Check out this short clip.

If you have young children, share this 90-second video with them and then you’re all set! But real quick, here are the tips one more time.

Always trick-or-treat in a group.

Stay in a well-lit area.

Look both ways before crossing the street.

Use a flashlight or reflective tape.

Always have an adult check your candy.

Remember to brush your teeth.

The Skylanders Academy Series has been such a big hit for my two kiddos. I didn’t find it surprising that my eight-year-old son loved the show, but I was surprised by my five-year-old girlie girl’s fascination with the series. Big Brother’s influence, no doubt. But it’s a fun series, filled with adventure + excitement. What’s not to love?!

So check out the series on Netflix. And one more thing…

There’s even a Happy Birthday video, only on Netflix, that you can share with your Little One to make their birthday super special.

Wishing all y’all a safe + happy Halloween!
