I don’t know when it happened exactly but sometime back in the summer of 2015, my husband watched the entire first season of Marvel’s Daredevil on Netflix all by himself. I had zero interest in watching it with him but he insisted that I would like it. I thought it looked too dark, so I turned it down. It might have also had something to do with the fact that I didn’t care for the 2003 movie all that much. But one day, while he was out of town on a business trip, I decided to give it a try.
I binge watched the entire season before he returned from his business trip. It was official – I was Hooked on Heroes.
The video above describes me completely. I was the 1 in 8 viewers that had never watched a comic book inspired series on Netflix. To this day, I have never read a comic book but I have watched every single episode of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist + The Defenders. All of them, some twice. I live in the Marvel Universe.
All my husband had to do was make a recommendation + then wait. I think he knew I would eventually come around to his way of thinking. But maybe your binge watching partner needs a little more convincing. Well, look no further. Netflix has given you a powerful path of persuasion at your disposal.Any path you take will lead you to binge worthy goodness + once you’ve seen one of these Marvel series, you’ll have to see them all. And then you’ll have to watch the Defenders so you can see all four of these characters in action together. #Addictive
Then the inevitable will happen. Every episode will have been watched. What do you do next? I’ll tell you what I did. I loved Krysten Ritter’s role as Jessica Jones so much that I went searching for more shows/movies to stream that she had a role in. You can find her…
Well there you go, Folks. You now have all of the tools you need to get your significant other Hooked on Heroes and then some! Happy Streaming!
